In late 2024, a group of us watching the political and social tide shift in real time started noticing patterns. Power was consolidating. Institutions were eroding. People were normalizing things that should never feel normal.
So we started tracking it.
That’s how Crimson Drift was born — a living resistance framework that maps the slide toward authoritarianism in the U.S., phase by phase, backed by real-world events, leaked documents, and pattern recognition that cuts through the chaos.
It’s not just analysis. It’s a survival tool.
🛠️ When It Started
The foundations of Crimson Drift were laid between December 2024 and January 2025 — not in response to a single event, but in recognition of a mounting pattern.
While red flags had been accumulating for years, late 2024 marked a turning point: the normalization of once-unthinkable rhetoric, early purges inside federal agencies, weaponized surveillance infrastructure gaining traction, and growing signs that legal norms were being selectively ignored.
Rather than reacting to any one moment, Crimson Drift formed as a proactive model — an effort to predict, track, and expose the mechanics of authoritarian consolidation in real time.

A subproject of Emberwake, Ashglass exposes how AI is being used for authoritarian suppression: scoring citizens, denying rights automatically, and erasing due process. It builds dossiers on bad actor tech, contractors, and the systems behind predictive enforcement.
